MEET THE ARTIST

Hi, I'm Rebecca.

I'm a watercolor artist in the South Carolina Lowcountry, painting the pets, homes, and places people hold closest - one brushstroke at a time.

What started as painting friends' homes as gifts has grown into a studio full of commissions, prints, and keepsakes made for people all over the country - but always with the same care I put into that very first piece.

WHAT GUIDES THE WORK

Made by hand, made to last

Painted by hand

Every piece is an original watercolor - no filters, no shortcuts. Just paint, paper, and patience.

Personal by nature

Your photos, your story. I work closely with you so the finished piece feels unmistakably yours.

Made to last

Archival paints and papers, carefully packed and signed - a keepsake built to be handed down.

Painting the places that hold our memories

THE STORY

I've always believed that the ordinary places are the ones we remember most - the porch light of a first home, the dog curled up in a favorite chair, the corner café where a love story began. Watercolor, with its softness and light, felt like the only way to hold onto them.

Every piece begins with your photos and your story. I sketch, I plan, and then I paint by hand in my Lowcountry studio, layering color until the place feels alive again. No two are ever alike - and that's the point.

Today I create custom pet portraits, house portraits, and commercial & architectural paintings, alongside a growing collection of Charleston prints, cards, and gifts. Whether it's a housewarming surprise or a tribute to a beloved companion, my hope is always the same: to give you something worth keeping for a lifetime.

FROM THE STUDIO

A few things about me

My name is Rebecca Lynn Olson. I grew up Smitten with the Mitten (aka Michigan, for those of you unfamiliar with the good ole’ midwest states), now living in Charleston with my husband David, daughter Madelyn and two dogs (Genevieve and Sherlock).

LET’S CREATE TOGETHER

Have a place worth painting?

I'd love to hear the story behind it. Start a commission or explore the shop to bring a little of the Lowcountry home.
